Samuel – Sticky Media
The first impression I had of Sticky Media where ones of largely awe. Upon entering Samuel’s website, the first thing to catch my eye was his impressive logo. The colours and the shine on the lettering; coupled with the colour instantly remind me of a liquid candy. It works very well with its dark background to draw in the viewer’s eyes.
The navigation icons also follow the same fashion as the logo. I enjoy how Samuel has implemented two different ‘styles’ of art into one page. It’s something I don’t see being very used often.
Although in my opinion, the white outline on the navigation icons are not needed and seek a little too much attention from the viewer.
The majority of the website we have left is rather simplistic. It keeps things to the point. Potential customers don’t want to be getting lost and confused while on a website. That’s a potential loss of income, which speaks for itself.
My favourite part of this website is the portfolio page. Simplistic in every way, but behind it all; very much the opposite. The previews are well placed, in rows and columns. All the images are of good quality and all titled. A great convenience for the viewer.
Enlarging the images is quick and simple. The enlargement is a quick process, with switching between images also being quick and easy to do.
