Hey folks! I've been rather busy as of late developing my new website, sketcher.me. I'd be very grateful if you could take a few minutes to sign up and check it out.

What is sketcher.me?
sketcher.me is a brand new social network and media website, founded on the 1st of January 2011. We provide a service which allows users to draw, create and share their very own online sketches.

We encourage our users to meet new friends and people with similar interests through their sketches and creations. We allow facebook publishing, twitter publishing and site-to-site integration. We pride ourselves on our users' opinions, if they say so, it will happen!

Find us on Facebook
To help spread the word, we have created a Facebook page located here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/sketcherme/190253950988529
It would help us if you were able to "Like" this page and suggest to your friends.

Help keep sketcher.me free
sketcher.me is a free to use service, however, it does cost for us to run it. We mainly gain revenue through advertising using Google Adsense and soon-to-be our own custom advert network. If you would like to contribute to sketcher.me in any way, financially or via affiliates PM me or contact us.

Many of you may know about scroodler, this has a similar idea. I have spoken with Jason and he gave me to green light to go on with this project.

Hey Sam,

First thing i have to say when I visited your website was attention to detail? The template and some of the formatting of the website looks fairly rushed? Heres what my homepage looked like:

http://up2go.us/static/img/sketcher.png

Also on the registration form and the login boxes when you click it should clear the values of them to make it easier for the user, oh and In my opinion the password boxes on the registration form should be type password.

Also I think I am right when i say this but you can't activate your account unless your logged in?? Another pointer none of the main navigation works in chrome just to let you know ,

Goodluck with this project just clean it up a lil As a suggestion maybe go through the process of registering and see what you think?

Keep up teh good work (Y)

The "formatting rush" was a simple bracket closing too soon, that has been fixed. The forms SHOULD automatically change to blank input and passwords to password when focused. I've tested it all in Chrome and Firefox and the navigation works fine for me.

Can you elaborate?

Looks cool I like it. Think you should work on a nicer design but I like it so far

It's cool and unique, is it based off Yahrlys website like this? Scroodler?

Goodluck again,

Haha, the site is very javascript-oriented.

@Internetz: My friend at school originally suggested me making a Facebook application where you can draw and share. I thought it was a good idea so I took it to a website instead of a Facebook application. Anyway, few days after the founding I was telling Gray about it. He reminded me of Scroodler and I asked Jason if it was alright to create a project like this since it's very similar to Scroodler. Thankfully Jason gave the green light

Hi Sam,

When I was about a paragraph into this post I just had to have a look. I like how you've kept it simple, without adding lots and lots of content boxes for content which wouldn't be needed for this particular website.

The colors fit well together, like red and white always have. Although on one thing I thought about.. in the end of the day who owns these sketches?

WOW, i really like this website!!

Many people browse without javascript, including myself so you should make an alternative to cater for these people.
I also think its much like bebos wall feature.

Maybe a new design would help a bit and as I said before non JavaScript version. This is why I don't use facebook.
