MiniChat is Back!
Late in 2007, a something small hit your screens. It was called MiniChat. MiniChat was a new way to revolutionise MMO's with it's small gameplay it was aimed at the chatters. An interactive chatting portal for everyone. Sadly it later closed down, and disappeared into the distance.
But now it's back! And it's even better!
MiniChat has seen a complete overhaul recently, with all new art and an all new coded game. It looks better and it runs a lot smoother and efficiently than the past MiniChat client! Many of these new ideas and features have been kept under wraps for now though as we are mainly inteested in testing our new client.
This basic client (alpha release) will include:
- Walking (pathfinding)
- Slope support
- Speech (bubble format)
- Character limitations for chat (dont want 1^10 pixels wide bubbles)
- Main room
- Outside area (using generated maps)
- Clothing system (no changer.. yet!)
- Mini user profiles
That will be it for now, and we will see you soon for information about our first game test.
For now heres a small preview:

Sadly I wasn't there to see the first MiniChat, but to see an old MMOCC make a comeback is great! Really shows how dedicated to the project you are. I hope I'm there to try it out and I wish you the best of luck, I don't want to see this fail!

Weird..
I clearly remember buying the old minichat from you including domain etc.
Even though i was unable to continue holding the domain as i didnt have a creditcard.
That doesn't mean you can just use the name minichat again..
Well i guess it does as its free to use but to just name your mmocc minichat again while you sold me a mmocc that was the same is just weird isnt it ?

I remember the old minichat! It was so cute back in 2007, so it should be even better now. Perhaps post some more in game screen shots, i can't wait!

ThuGie, may I ask, are you actually using the game franchise or domain? I forgot about it being sold to you, but since I wasn't involved in that you would have to PM Kai here or email/msn. Originally it was going to be called MiniWorlds, but it just seemed much better to rename back to MiniChat as this is what the forum knows the game as.

If you've sold the name with the client files. You've sold the name, just change it. Skip all the arguments etc. Only fair to be honest.

Like I said, he'll have to take it up with Kai. As far as I knew, it was just the source (which is horrible) that was sold.
