MS Paint

A few weeks ago my hard drive messed up so I got a new one.

My CD Rom is totally forked. So we put the hard drive in my boyfriends laptop and installed XP on there.. But now I want to use MS Paint and I didn't tick for it to install that when installing XP.

When I go to Add components it tells me I need to insert the disk..Obviously my CD Rom doesn't work so I can't do that. How else can I get MS Paint on my laptop?

Putting the hard drive back in my boyfriends Laptop and installing it is not an option.

Download an ISO version of Windows XP and locate the ISO file when asked to insert the CD

Try going to Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs, and then Add/Remove Windows Components on the left side.

Once there, highlight Accessories and Utilities, and choose Details at the bottom.

Next screen, highlight Accessories and then Details again.

Scroll down and find Paint. If it has a check mark next to it, take that check mark off and choose Ok, and then OK again. When you see "Next" at the bottom, choose that. This will uninstall what is left of the Paint program.

Once this completes, repeat the steps above and put a check mark next to Paint this time. This will reinstall the program.

It only gives me the options to save as Bitmaps or a JPEG.
