Can you give us a brief introduction about who you are, your community, and your position there?

Hello, my name is Phil and I am part of the community Quawn.com. My position there is rather all over the place, but I am the Site Director. I also do some work for the company producing Quawn which is Rational Data.

Favorite foods? Drinks? Movies? TV shows? Songs?

My favourite food is Pizza, my favourite drink is Water, my favourite movie is PineApple Express, my favourite TV show is That 70's Show, and my favourite song is One A by Illscarlett.

What would you consider your virtual world's accomplishments up to this point?

Right now our accomplishments would have to be, a working client (not ready to be seen), very unique applications that you will use to 'play' Quawn

Any failures your chatting community has faced?

Launch date last year for an alpha release (we've made up for it)

What led you to create Quawn? Where did you get the name from?

I got dragged into creating Quawn when a person by the name of Drexell (former Habbo Staff) decided to ask me to help. I believe the name came from Drexell's creative mind.

What is your opinion on fan sites? Some tend to release classified information/graphics in order to promote themselves and gain traffic to their website. How will Quawn deal with these types of sites?

I love fan sites. Lot's of the time some of your gaming traffic can come from them if its a common site. The owner may use word of mouth to do this. But, Quawn will not release any classified information to one particular fansite. If it is going to be official it will be announced in the Quawn News center. Our fan sites will have to get traffic the ol' fashion way, hard work

What stage is Quawn at now in the developing process?

Quawn right now has a working client, and working applications to go along with it. Rational Data's CEO states that only the walking engine needs to be touched up, and our 3D engine then we are ready to rock!

How will Quawn stand out from all the other MMOCCs out there?

Plain and simple, being unique. Our applications are like no other, and so is the quality of them. Since our client is 2D-3D based it will also attract users to how realistic it will be, even though it is set in the future. Provided that our player support and Quawn 911 system will be top of the line also.

Is there anything we should be looking out for or looking forward to?

You should be looking forward to the release of Quawn in the next couple weeks, possibly.

Any MMOCCs you regularly visit other than Quawn?

I visit Vizwoz and Habbo Hotel most often mainly because of my positions there. (or past position)

How would you describe your moderation style? Is there a strict moderation style that will be enforced upon your moderators when Quawn is released?

It will not be too strict. We want our users to be free, but there will be some limitations of what you can and cannot do. All uploads will be monitored of course.

Tell us something we don't already know about you.

I play hockey at a high level and I like to workout. I also play Junior A roller hockey.

If you were to add one feature to any MMOCC, what would it be? Why?

Quawn has already made the feature I would add. Building your own part of the game. Simply opening an application, creating a street, road, block, room is 2D, then using the 3D engine to create it and implement it into the game, then being able to walk through it. I like this feature because you feel involved with the community.

Any advice to those wanting to start their own virtual chat?

Stick with it, even in rough times. Quawn has had some rough times but I have stuck with them and now it's 'all good'

Where do you see the MMOCC market in ten years?

In ten years I would like to see the MMOCC market sky rocketing. Maybe a couple of MMOCC's because if there were lots, there would be to many to choose from and sponsorship and advertisement would not go well.

Where do you see Quawn in ten years?

In ten years I would like to see Quawn as one of those few MMOCC's that are really progressive and popular. I would like to see a bunch of Quawn's spread over the internet because we plan to have one username for every single Quawn community you are apart of.

What does the future hold for you?

I'd like to see myself playing professional ice hockey, and if roller hockey is in the summer Olympics I would love to participate in that.
