Hello,
Not too long ago, I entered the world of Kernel programming and starting researching. After a good time, I've managed to essentially finish the Kernel (read: kernel, not the whole OS) of OnyxOS, a Unix-like operating system which I'm working on in my spare time. The Kernel boots from a CD and creates a ramdisk from initrd.img in which the basic filesystem is stored. The Kernel supports writing to the screen, keyboard input, multitasking, and various other things. The shell is not finished yet, so the release will wait until then.
And to finish, a screenshot:
Just to say "SHell" is not a typo.
OnyxOS - Unix-like OS
Lol i like the SHell bit
it looks good so far - do you expect to add a gui to it?
and as its Unix i imagine it has the old root based login? or have you not done login yet...
anyway it looks very good so far

Did you start with something else and extend it or did you do that from scratch?
