The room images were never there, they were in a dynamically loaded cast.

Ok that's a lie, before it was FC they were there

This beta does not work with the FC server/database. i think this was realeased to help people get the understanding of the layout. its not really a working beta even if you get the server. alot of work would be required to get this to work with the FC server but nothigns impossible.

Elw00d things are impossible. When someone goes into space and can breath, i will belive that
#4
never heard of an oxygen tank? or a space suit?
#5
Without them...
#6
hence the reason i sed this beta would work without some work..
key word being without..

Get back on topic, guys.

Whether or not there is a server available that will make this work, it is source code - it is meant to be learned from, and I think it will do its job fine.

Cheers
#8
Tho you could learn the same by just downloading fusescript
All it is is login and register really because the rooms do not work.
#9
Exactly, and I got a login/register working with this client which took me less than 10 minutes (nothing fancy - basic login/register). You'd learn better downloading something like fusescript and trying to do your own server for it

Thanks a lot for this! I've always been interested in how habbo etc. were made and now I'm going to try to write a simple server for this which does the login and register so I can learn from it. I never worked with Director, but I actually can find may way through your code and I hope I can get it working .

(PS, sorry for bumping this up)

Good luck Xikeon.

Thanks Witty.

I managed to make a connection and now trying to find out the packets it wants . Though for some reason the packet sender in the client errors with a function. Can't look right now though, because I'm at school. I'll post the error later today, because I have no idea how to fix it.

So, has the lad figured it out? Haha!

i gave up on this.. the client wasnt reponding to anything

I see. Well, the fact of the matter is. Either way you look at it. You're not going to get this fully working with what you have now. I can get it working. Simply, because I know what I am doing. I have the database, server, and cast files.

So, simply learn from what it can do and create your own client that connects to your "server application".

By the way not being harsh. My apologies if so. Just being realistic.

The "I know what I am doing", comment was referring to the server. LOL! If you saw the server... um, yeah... you'll laugh then have a hard-time messing around with compiling and fixing errors.
