Mobile MMOCC
Ah, I thought you meant this!
I'm still going with my comment on making apps for iPhone/gPhone... They'd be much more popular than Nokia in my opinion. This N-Gage format you've shown me though, is definetly something too.
Good luck on it.

Even if you were to do this it wouldn't be practical the chat would have to be in a seperate window etc with scroll.
I just don't see it happening, Good luck though!

Till mobile internet becomes seriously cheap / free (Read: Never) this will not work
Hey everyone, its been a long time since I started a new thread.
Well anyway I'll get to the point.
I have been working with a very well known S60 programmer to produce a MMOCC for the mobile community.
However I need a bit of research from the users of this fourm and would like to know what mobile phones you actally own. Be it contract or pay and go.
Reason why I ask this is mainly becuase I'm aiming this towards Nokia N-series phones (due to the new release of n-gage on many phones).
Although the market is very small in this area I hope to suceed very well.
So down to two questions;
1. What phone(s) model and makes do you currently own.
2. What would you like to see on a Mobile MMOCC.

Didn't someone have this idea ages ago?
But it failed due to internet costs, download costs, ect users wouldn't pay.

You already has this idea, and got shot down by everybody here because there isn't a market for this type of game. Sulake have made an MMOCC for mobile phones, and they have not succeeded, so how will you?!
I thought Sulake's mobile thing wasnt an MMO
MiniFriday was Sulake's idea and it was an MMO. There's a youtube video of it in action on the site I think, and it looks very similar to Habbo. You're a bit early to develop this idea tbh. Mobile internet won't take off until the mob net is cheaper & loads faster.
I would never play a mmocc on my phone. Their would never be enough time to.
Hey, I understand everyones conserns, however...
I will mostly be aiming towards users of the new nokia gaming service n-gage.
There is a market and its already grown alot.

I don't think you're too early, or too late. I don't think there will ever be a market for this. Mobile browers will improve, but then why would they restrict themselves to a cut-down MMOCC with few users, when they could just as easily access habbo, or another MMOCC.
I mean, I might be wrong, and missing out on a huge opportunity. I just doubt it. Though it seems you know what you're talking about, if you know your market well, then I'm sure you'll suceed.
Best of luck!
